Hello, I remember that in the past Autodesk guaranteed that thre would be 2 Inventor releases every year...is this still true??..I am trying to decide whether it is a good idea still too renew my yearly subscription or not..is Inventor Series 12

I would maintain your subscription with Inventor. If it was autocad I could understand dumping your subscription because the new features in autocad don't really amount to anything. The new versions of Inventor will typically have features that are essential to being more productive.
Inventor release are now only once a year (ties in with all other Autodesk products)
Subscription is worth it , if for no other reason that missing 'n' number of releases then upgrading to the latest release will cost more than 'n' X subscription cost (ie Autodesk price subscriptions / upgrades / full versions so that subs are the cheapest method, therefore encouraging year subs - yearly income
Iv12 (2008) is just around the corner (well spring(ish)), sign up for the betas and see for yourself
I don't know if you are planning on using it, but subscription for Productstream is mandatory. At that point, it is difficult to not keep the other products on subscription. I'd probably be upset about that if I didn't think the subscription was worth it.
