Parts lists, IPNs & IDW

Perhaps I missed a posting or was sleeping or
something.  I have been creating IPNs with multiple exploded views based on
different design views of the assembly.  When I place the IPN views in an
IDW, each view seems to balloon from its own parts list.  Is there a way to
sync the parts lists so the item numbers match or must they be edited manually
or is there a way to balloon each view from a single parts list
occurrence?  This question applies to all views on one sheet and different
views on multiple sheets.

TIA

I have been going through the same thing. To the best of my knowledge that functionality
isn't there. I will be a happy man if someone proves me wrong, but at this point I think
it is just a wishlist item.

I could never understand the logic of linking part lists to views. It
seems totally absurd to me. When I create an assembly I want one and
only one master part list for that assembly. And I want all the balloons
to reference that one list. There should be an option to pick one part
list that the ballons will reference.

In order to expand my viewpoint, I would be interested in hearing
scenarios of why anyone would every want to reference more than one part
list, for one particular assembly.

Since no one has responded with scenarios of balloons referencing more
than one part list for a particular assembly, can I assume that no one
does, and that the Inventor team is way off the mark in assuming that
is how people work?

No way to add the detail sheet number to a balloon either. If you add
another parts list the balloon numbers aren't coordinated either. The
drawing module needs work. ... Guess I'm repeating myself all over again?
