Parts List / Cut List Question

Like most of you the majority my assemblies are made up from several sub-assemblies.  For ease of fabrication I want to display a cut list to my shop by sub-assembly.  How do I do this?

Indented BOM?

Hi

How did you get inventor to create a cut list? I can't get it to display any dimensions at all. I can get a BOM obviously but where and how you get dims for the assembly parts is beyond me. would you kindly put a quick summary of what you did at all please?

Thanks

Nigel

Attached is what I have currently.  It still needs tweaking.  Until now I've been using the parts list to give me a total of each length of extrusion we are using for each so this can be entered into and deducted from our inventory system.  The Cut List is just a variation of the Parts List saved in your drawing template.  If memory serves I use the LENGTH property in the QTY column to get the length (converted to fractions for the neanderthals) of each extrusion.
