Part file saved as Autocad question

I have attached a part that has me puzzled as to why it's not exporting correctly.

When I right click on the flat pattern, in the feature tree, and save copy as dxf, when I open the dxf in my programming software, only half the part shows.

I have saved the part as a .dwg file, opened it in AutoCAD, exploded it, and saved it as a dxf.

But when I do this, the dxf fails to import.

When I start to investigate why, I find that there are 4 lines, arcs, etc. stacked on top of each other.

What has caused this and what can I do to fix this?

Thank you so much for your help.

The part is a disjointed solid body.

Have you had success with disjointed solids before?

I think you will need to save each side separately or put a sliver of material between them.
