P replace 7 in Parts List

This is weird. Any time I have the number 7 in my parts list, it is changed to a P. It doesn't matter if it is in the ITEM, QTY, PART NUMBER, DESCRIPTION, or LENGTH column. Anyone else experience this?

not that one exactly. But M for 5 (off memory) and other consistant substitutions idw wide. I did not care as long as it printed correctly which it always did. This was often pre sp1 still continues now. I am not sure if the frequency is the same or if I just ignore it more now.

It's a bug that showed up in R6. Autodesk is looking for it, but it's not
consistent or repeatable, so it's one of those needle-in-a-haystack things.

The fix is to restart Inventor, or sometimes a reboot is needed. Your IDWs
will print correctly in any case.

Cheers,
Walt

I had the same thing happen to an .idw after I opened up the
.ipt and returned. About a half dozen letters of text became
juxtaposed! It was very weird. But, thankfully, a re-boot made it go away. Haven't seen it again.

A re-boot will certainly fix it, but usually just
exiting Inventor is enough.  It would be nice though if it would stay
fixed.  8^)
