Opening of Inventor 2015 3d model in inventor 2014 3D model

Hi all, 

I had purchase Inventor 2015 Soft ware , from last 2 months i had done the project and completed. I had tried to submit the project to MY HO, unfortunatly they are having Inventor 2014 Software version. Please help me with any tools which help full to me, so that my project can be accepted.

Save Copy as Type STEP (*.stp) to open in previous release.

We are able to open the step(*.stp) file but we want to edit the 3D object in 2014 version. This is important to us because we are already having the license of Inventor 2014 in our head office. hope you understand and help us.

Do the step out .. mentioned above however after that use the add in Feature Recognition http://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/INVNTOR/en/Detail/Index?id=appstore.exchange.autodesk.com:FeatureR... This will be a long process depending on how many parts and assemblies in this .. Mike

Most if not all 3d cad packages are NOT backward compatible with native file types.

If you knew your home office was running 2014 you should be too if you expect them to be able to easily open/edit the files.

So now your only option is to save out as step files and use feature recognition like suggested above..

Or get them to upgrade to 2015

Thats just how it is.
