Open STP file into INV 6 Problem

When opening a STP file into INV 6, the assy and parts of the STP file, are all translated into a single part (solid).
With INV 5.3 an Assy with parts is translated. I have used the same STP file in both Versions and I am unable to get the assy with INV 6

Is there a switch to this and where is it?

Hi, Colin.

Can't say I've had that problem and can only guess that there's something
peculiar about the stp. Have you tried another stp? Can you post the one
that's acting strange?

Well, I'm sure I don't know. Perhaps someone at Adesk can take a look at it
and make sense of it. All I can suggest for now is to import to MDT and
export from there. That seems to clean it up and it comes into IV as it
should. Strange stuff.

Hello Jeff

The stp file comes from UG. I have taken this same stp file
through MDT 6
and INV 5.3 with no problem. INV 6 has the problem. I have
requested a small
file from the client and am uploading this for the IG to help me
with.
