Official Inventor 2014 What's New

Hi There,

Is there already a official Autodesk whitepaper with the new features in Inventor 2014? Cannot seem to find it anywhere.

Is there a whitepaper version out yet? Or only the wiki?

I like to print out a white paper booklet to give to my design guys rather than having to navigate a wiki page.

I would also like to see a white paper version.

Autodesk, will this become available? Or is the wiki style the new standard?

Hi, The  PDF of the What's New exceeds the the file size allowed on the discussion group. I have posted to the wiki. You can find it here at the bottom of the page - http://wikihelp-stg.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2014/Help/0000-What_s_N0/0001-What_s_N1#pageFiles

Thank you,

Hi jeanie.wayker,

Thanks for making the PDF available, I prefer to download and keep the PDF versions of the What's New for reference. Unfortunately the link you provided does not allow me to access the file. Can you provide a revised link?

This is what I get when I follow the posted link:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /Inventor/enu/2014/Help/0000-What_s_N0/0001-What_s_N1 on this server.

Would it be possible to add a link at the bottom of the WikiHelp page as you did for 2013:

http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2013/Help/0000-What_s_N0

Thank you,

I also get the same error, so it's not a problem isolated to Curtis.

I do apologize! I have been able to save the PDF more efficiently and am attaching now for you to download here. I will also add to the wiki and will provide a good link for you shortly.

Thank you,

Jeanie

The WhatsNew_.pdf attached twice above is not the final version.

The WhatsNew_Inventor_2014_.pdf attached here is the final version. Jeanie has uploaded the final version here this morning: http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2014/Help/0000-What_s_N0

Notable differences between two documents:

  • WhatsNew_.pdf: "Connect" command is a wrong name.  "Self-intersecting coils" section is missing.
  • WhatsNew_Inventor_2014_.pdf: "Joint" command is the correct name.  "Self-intersecting coils" section exists.

In addition to the What's new in Inventor 2014, is there some information on

What's fixed in Inventor 2014?

I am most specifically interested in finding out if the drawing environment has been fixed to

show arcs and circles to be in fact arcs and circles instead of splines.

Not knowing too much about other issues, that is the one and only thing I've asked back in Rel 2011, 2012.

Found out that 2013 still didn't fix it, I did not even install it.

So can someone please shed some light on wether this is still the case with 2014?

Thank You
