No PDF preview please

Save copy as PDF shows a preview in my PDF viewer. How do I switch it off by default?

Indeed, when saving a copy of an IDW as PDF Inventor starts the PDF viewer.

Time consuming and frustrating when you have to create a couple of PDF's

Hi VIROrene,

As odd as it sounds, this is controlled in the publish options of the DWF file. Go to Export > Export to DWF and unceck the Display Published File in Viewer option found at the bottom of the General tab. This option controls the PDF viewer as well as the DWF.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
