.Newver without crash

Hi

We're using semi-isolated project type and my PC keeps creating .newver. files when I check models back into the shared 'workgroup' folder. When it happens (maybe 10% of check-ins) I get an error message saying file is locked by another process, but as far as I can see there are no other processes that should be accessing the file either on my PC or the server where the workgroup folder lives.

No one else using the workgroup/project is having this issue and we're all using Autodesk Inventor 12.0 SP3.

Anyone come across this before? It's only started happening recently and my setup hasn't changed in two years.

Hello Cnoj

.Newver files appear when having trouble while saving. If you're the only computer having this problem, you should check :

1. User Profile and rights on the Network directory. Maybe you could log in Windows with another account and see if it still happens
2. Disable Antivirus, Firewall and UAC if you have. Just as a test to see if it works better.
3. Check the network connection, maybe yours is slower or has problems for some reasons.
