Need help creating a mould for the Babyplast using Inventor 2014.

I'm trying to create a mould for the Babyplast using the mould design feature of Inventor 2014, but I have a few problems, since the required mould base is not included in the extended libraries.

The needed base is a HASCO K5000 base system which is extremely rudimentary since the small size and price of the system does not warrant he use of workpiece cutouts for example. Which is also one of the problems for me. How do you go about using a user defined mold base (which I kind of realized, but I would prefer real library support) and then merging the core and cavity of the workpiece with the corresponding pieces of the mold base in order to create a sketch for the workshop.

And even more basic but helpful would be a tutorial or book on how to really create a user defined mold base, since I'm sure that I forgot some things because of the strong difference between the Babyplast and the more common injection molding machines.

I'll apreciate any advice, hint or help you can provide me.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Florian

P.S.:

Forgot to mention, that I want to use the mold design feature to design the whole mold system because I need to use it for Moldflow simulations afterward. So just designing the core and cavity plate of the K5000 is detrimental in the long run.

There are more mold libraries available at the link below.

I did see that there was a Hasco listing for Modes, which library it was in wasn’t clear. If however you don’t find one to your liking you can modify an existing one using the Customize option in the Mold base dialog box. That would be a good spot to start in.

I'm already using these librares, since the as shipped ones contain almost nothing. Which is understandable, since the ones you posted require 2GB of space. But they also only contain the bigger mold bases and not the inset-less 75mm K5000 for the Babyplast.

And the customize option does not help either, since it does not allow to shrink the plate sizes down to 75mm x 75mm.
