With Inventor installed, you can install MDT2009 with your Inventor serial number.

Did you download MDT2009 from the Subscription Website?

This one is supported for 2010. Not sure if it installs for 2011 or 2012.  This may be the last installable.

The currently available version of MDT (www.autodesk.com/mdt) will only recognize certain versions of Inventor through release 2011.

A 2012 "Inventor aware" version is planned for a mid-May timeframe. Until then, your 2011 Inventor (Suite, Routed, Simulation or Pro) should be a bindable version that allows MDT to install.

Happy Migrating!

When will Autodesk stop supplying MDT2009?

Personally think a more important question is:

when will MDT import code be incorporated into Inventor so we don't need MDT installed at all???

As for registering MDT for use with Inventor 2011 I'm pretty sure I couldn't use my Iv2011 serial and had to goto the subscription centre and request a previous version serial for Iv2009 Suite.  Have a load of emails (which I have just double-checked) to/from Autodesk Support stating this when I tried to register it with 2011 last year.

When they stop allowing access/generation of Iv2009 serials (think that's next year isn't it?) I think MDT will be screwed and thus it's pretty vital to allow direct import into Inventor without any need for MDT at all.
