Material Specification List?

Is there a list of material specs. out there
so that every user doesn't have to fill out
a list of commonly used material. Any help
would be appreciated.

I am not sure I understand what you are asking, but if you fill out the Material specs in
the Template file then it will be there for every user.

I understand that. What I am wondering is there a
pre-maid list out there that you can load into IV
that has commonly used materials and all of there
specs. such as density and poissons ratio and so
on? A larger list then what is provided from IV.
A list that might include types of tool steels and
aluminums. A list so the guy setting up the
template would not have to sit and spend so much
time loading by hand all the different materials
a company would use. A list so that when you
define the parts mat'l as aluminum, the drawing
won't say just aluminum it would say aluminum
6061-t6511.
Thank You

See iCF for our part template. You can use to organizer to pull them into
your template.

We have many of the materials you are looking for.

Thanks Sean, I'm a collecting fool......I have collected almost 200 textures
for IV and every solid model I can get my grubby little hands on, now I want
to start collecting material properties and this is a great start!

You can tell I'm a nerd because I get so excited about this stuff.

You know, there is something I've been meaning to ask, and this reminds me -

I've looked high and low and I can't find much on cast steels. 70-36, 70-40,
80-50, 90-60, 130-110, etc.

Anybody out here got the scut on this stuff?
