Loading Inventor 2011 very slow without internet connection

workstation with internet connection does'nt have problem to launch Inventor (2011).

Those who don't have a internet connection (browser over the web) it takes up to 2 min to launch the software.

When I unplug the network cable, it takes less then 20 sec to boot up.

When I try with a active internet connection it works fine.

It would be simple to let them the internet connection, but it is not my call.  Then I'm trying to find a way to stop inventor to sneek over the web at the bootup.

Any chance someone here can help ?

Thanks

Thanks Curtis,

I did turn off the communication center by following the procedure you provided.

I still have to wait upto 2 min to launch the software.

Have you done a search of this forum for this problem? I recall this coming up before.
Here's a link to one such thread: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/Inventor-2012-loading-SLOW-when-attached-to-network...

Hi Mike,

Yes I did a search before asking the question.  The solution proposed on the others posts did'nt solve the problem on our workstations.

One way or the other, I will find a workaround

Are you aware of tools like Process Monitor, which lets you monitor what the computer is doing?  This should get you narrowed in on where the delays are happening.
