Linking thumbnails?

I am putting together a catalog of our hardware items that will need to be
published on the web and in print form. Currently I am pasting screenshots
from the Inventor part file into my document.

My question is, does any one know of a software solution that will pull the
thumbnails from an inventor file so that the catalog document is easily
updatable instead of using static pictures?
Ideas?

This will batch export preview images to BMP, WMF or Jpeg.
