Linked spreadsheets-Inconsistent Link errors??? Bug??

I have an assembly in which many of the components are linked to a
controlling spread sheet, I recently changed spreadsheets, went through each
component and used change source to update the link.
Now when I open the assembly I get a "inconsistent links error" I will
post a JPEG in CF

Any Ideas??

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. I created a copy of an entire assembly with its associated subassemblies and parts. Some of the subassemblies were controled through spreadsheets. In the process I had to rename the copied spreadsheets also. I could not resolve some of the links to the spreadsheets. With some of the subassemblies I had to copy and paste the spreadsheet directly from the 'change source' window. On others I had to completely delete the third party in the browser window and in the parameters dialogue window. Then I performed a new link to the new spreadsheet from the parameters window. I'm not sure if this is proper protocal, but it worked for me. Hope this helps.

Are you able to change values in the spreasheet and
have the model update correctly?

I have tried both of the things you
mentioned.    With the "Change Source" command it will often look
OK but when you open the parameters window, all of the linked params are
highlighted yellow. ( I assume this is telling me that the link is
broken?)

So if I then proceed to delete both the "Third
Party" in the browser and the linked params (One at a time)  and then
relink the spread sheet, then change a value in the spreadsheet. IT STILL WILL
NOT UPDATE!

This is way more complicated than it should
be!!!!!!!
