Leader from center, can't get it to work (2k12)

When I try to dimension a hole in an idw-drawing, I cant get "Leader From Center" to work.

I put a "Center Mark" on the hole, select Dimension, selects the hole, right-click, options, Leader from Center.

Nothing happens, the same applies if I try to change an existing dimension.

Please give that a try on another file. The reason I suggest this is I created a new idw (from our templates) and followed your description and I was able to dimension leader from center on the dimension command. If this persists you may want to try a repair on your installation. If you will post the file and part I can look at the file also, it maybe just that one file.

I would say that there's issues with your part (ipt)

I notice that it is a Base part ( non-parametric). Is there a chance that the holes are not perfectly circular?

I made a similar part in 2012, and the hole note works as normal.

Well, the issues is that they are converted from SW, so obviously the conversion isn't perfect, or there are issues with the SW-design, nevertheless.

I was not using "hole Note", but rather "Dimensioning" since Hole Note didn't work.

Anyway, I finally found out how to do a leader from center.

First one have to select Singel Dimension line, then Leader from Center, not very intuitive.

I’m afraid that I must concur with Dennis. The model is a base model that may have been imported into Inventor. In cases like this the holes are not totally round as is the case with your file. Hence the issue you are having. I tested the file by placing a new sketch and hole. Once that was done I could dimension and create a hole table of the newly created hole. Please also be aware that the ISO standard style that is being presently used in the idw doesn’t allow leaders from the center point.

I suspected this might be the problem, obviously I have to live with it until I have the whole model re-done.
