Is this new?

I'm just noticing that when sketching, I don't need to project geometry into
the sketch first to constrain to. I can sketch and then reference
edges/points from within a constraint command and the referenced edge/point
is projected into and constrained to in a single step.

Is this new?

Dave.

That's a setting in app Options, sketching. Auto-project edges during curve
creation.

That has been around for a long time. I would venture to guess it happened around R4.

But that setting is turned off in my application options.

I remember I could do that with dimensions previously (still can) but never
tried constraints.

Well, I don't remember when we enabled that behavior but it wasn't always
that way - but its been that way for a while... lol

Part of my confusion stems from the fact that in addition to routinely
having MUCH newer releases that you guys do, I've typically been working
on/thinking about stuff that will show up another release or two out.

So, does that mean you'd like to get tons of personal eMail telling you
what we'd like to see in another release of four? I know I have a list
of unreasonable demands... -Bill

Bill,

You can feel free to email me any time you like. My
email address has never been a secret on this new forum. Be aware that I am no
longer a part of the product design team, so your mail would probably be better
directed.

Also be aware that for five years I've been
collecting my own list of stuff I'd like to add, so anything you come up with
that isn't on my list already, I'll be sure to pass along.
