Is there a way to reorient an existing drawing view?

I have some drawings that I make from other drawings and link them to new
versions of the original part. I am sure most of you do this on occasion.
It is not unusual for the view orientation in the drawing of the modified
part to be messed up. If I delete the view and bring in a new one with the
correct orientation, all of the related views and dimensions need to be
redone. If I can reorient the parent view in some way, the views and most
of the dimensions can be salvaged. Is this possible? I have been
recreating these problem drawings because I have not been able to fix them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

when you opened up your drawing was the updated model or assy file open or closed, for some reason i have had problems when the model file was not open, the view changes from current to front i believe. as it's been a while since i mad this mistake i'm going from memory. BUT GO BACK AND OPEn your asm or ipt first the open your idw and see if it comes in right on the next one. msk

I just tried opening my part file first and then
the drawing.  It did not seem to help.  I don't know if it makes any
difference, but I had saved the messed up file.  Perhaps if I
had tried that before ever saving, it would have helped.  I ended up
having to redo most of the drawing.  It sure would be nice to get the
ability to reorient the view.  It would save me a lot of rework.
Thanks for the suggestion though.  It may help others or me the next time
it pops up.
