Hello
I have a sheet metal part. It is a machine door with four edge flanges.
I have mirrored this part.
The origin part has flat pattern while the mirrored creates the folded pattern.
It still folded even when origin is in flat pattern.
Please advise does it mean I cannot create full sheet metal part by mirroring?

You create the mirrored sheet metal part be deriving component and selecting the mirror option.
Be sure to set the Style to correct thickness.

Hi Orest_iy,
Is sounds as if you're mirroring the part in the assembly?
Another approach is to mirror at the part level. If you open the original part and save it as a copy and then use the Mirror tool and choose the Mirror a Solid options with the Remove Original checkbox selected, you should be able to get what you're after.
You might also want to edit the flat pattern orientation once it's mirrored:

I've attached a couple of example files, where the Left version was the original and the Right version is the copy.
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

It works well too.
Once I need a part to exactly follow a master as for instance I have with my doors,
but sometimes I need a mirrored copy and this way makes it instantly without refolding
everything back to 180 degrees..
Thank you for advise
