First i hope this is the right place to type this. and 2nd, im sorry for any spelling errors and/or gramatical errors. English is not my first laungage.
I am making a toolbox for some students to make in metal.
This toolbox needs a handle.
the handle looks like seen in picture below
i want to bend it in the area where the folds go in on the sides. to streangthen the handle. However inventor wont let me bend this part.
Any advice on how i can make this bend succesful?
Not sure if this is what you ask. An arrow where you would like the bend would be nice but here is a part with bends on the end if it is what you meant..
Thanks for your answer. i have uploaded some new pictures.
i have added some lines showing where i want the bend part to be. The whole model is made useing sheet metal. with a thickness of 0,45 milimeters.
First you bend the "wings" *shown with yellow* inwerd so it looks like the first picture i posted. and then you bend them
i made a quick example in metal. Hope you can see what i mean.
Thanks in advance.
Model the part "as bent" rather than bending.
You will have to use the Contoured Roll feature.
Inventor will give you the flat pattern.
