Invisible louver in IDW

When I insert my model panel with louvers into an IDW for a brief moment they appear, then disappear leaving only a line. The projected side views show the louver but not the base view.
I do realize this is a pierce and punch operation.
Do I have to sketch the remainder of the feature?
Is this the procedure?

This is just a guess, but do you have tangency lines turned on? Without
them, the correct view WOULD be to show only a line. Inventor does not
solve for stretching or deformations.

EXCELLENT GUESS.I turned on the tangent edges and now I see my louvers. That was easy, and thanks.
