Inventor milimeters and real world milimeters

Hey, guys,
I'v suddenly ran into problem. Not a big deal, but still it's frustrating.
When I transfer something that in real world is 10 milimeters in Inventor it becomes 100. And if I want to (for example 3d print some parts) I have always to scale 10 times, because inventor 10 milimeters are 1 in the real world. Why and how to fix it?

Hi Aki,

with "transfer" do you mean "import"?

You can set the unit in the import process.

After all the problem is somewhere:
how to change inches to milimeters maintaining value. If it was 43,5 in inches tu convert to 43,5 in milimeters. Thanks in advance

What do you mean "transfer something"?

Import?

Export?

File type?

You mention 3D printing.
When Save Copy as Type *.stl did you set the Units in Options?

Attach your files here and end all doubt.

(you haven't even indicated what version of Inventor and Service Pack)

Inventors native units are cm - whatever the party's units are set too.

If you don't set scale on import/export (or inventor can't figure it out) Inventor will assume 1 unit = 1 cm. In your case making everything 10 times too big.

If you can't figure out how to set the scale, post your workflow here and well see if we can help!

Thanks! I had totally forgot that there's an "options" button down there while importing
