Inventor is not able to view point clouds

We'll get a inventor model of the huge cover . And we need to do a cross check old model to new scanned point clouds.

Inventor is not able to view point clouds, so the idea is to import inventor model to autocad . Do a cross check to point cloud notice the changes and put them into the inventor model . Move the flanges in the correct position.

This is the client mail.

Hi,

Wikipedia explains very well what Point Cloud is (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_cloud)

We have a lot of customers that use 3D scanners to, for example, reverse engineering.

The last case that I am reminded is a case of a helmet. The customer wanted in 3D. He had no designs....nothing .... just the helmet. The solution is get the point clouds with a 3D scanner and send it to a CAD system....is a quite difficult but possible.

I know that AutoCAD and 3D Studio can read point cloud.
