Inventor Issues:
Has anyone ever run into a problem with Inventor freezing when trying to create a sketch. My students can get into Inventor open a part, dimension the part, but the second they try to draw it instantly freezes. This has happened to several computers in my class and my tech guys can't figure it out. Any ideas thanks
Computer specs? (including OS, graphics card and driver version,etc..)
Inventor version?
Are you up to date on hotfixes/service packs?
Have you tried to update the graphics card driver?
Was it working? is this a fresh install of Inventor? Was it installed by turning off UAC,Virus software, admin rights?
Do the rugrats have proper permissions?.. (try it being logged in as an admin)
Hi rocco.barletta,
I didn't see any information about which version of Inventor you're using or its service pack level, etc. but you might try this:
Go to the Tools tab > Application Options button > Hardware tab and set it to Compatibility:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

Might also consider posting the file here, in case it is a problem with the part file itself.
