Inventor 2014 wont display graphics when opening file.

When opening a part file or a new file i get the model browser with all the features listed, but i cant see the model itself. The screen remains grey. Any ideas? Ive attached a picture.

Same here.

The contours appear as long as i mouse over them, but nothing else is visible, no matter if i open an old model or create a new one

Welcome to the forums.
Did it ever wok before? Is this a fresh installation?
Did you change anything recently (Windows updates, Inventor updates graphics drivers, etc.)?
Have you tried updating the graphics driver?
Have you tried the different options under Application Options > Hardware? Specifically, try toggling "Use Software Graphics".

It is a fresh install on win7 64bit. I previously used Inventor 2012,
and didn´t uninstall it before.

I have however now (twice) uninstalled everything (inventor 2012&14 with
all additional programmes) and reinstalled 2014, with same behaviour.

Switching to "Kompatibilität" (don´t know how it´s called in the english
version, i´m using german) in the "Hardware" section has now helped,
however.

I do think that Inventor should be able to recognize the capabilities of
my hardware. This has now cost me one full working day!

I'm going to assume that's "Compatibility Mode".
What graphics card are you using?
What driver do you have installed?
You can't expect Inventor to be able to work flawlessly with every possible combination of hardware and software in existence. The resources that would be required to accomplish such total compatibility would be staggering and would make Inventor completely unaffordable. It makes much more sense to just put a bit of effort into making sure you have a compatible card and driver.
