Inventor 2014 and word documents

Does anyone know how to insert a word document in to and IDW without it looking like 2 bit text?

I insert the document as an object, but it looks icky. Help

I usually paste word or excel documents into a idw instead of inserting them as an object. The text does look a bit off, but it prints just fine. Highlight and copy the text you want then use the paste special option under the Tools Tab.

Thank you Diana,

I did try your idea, but the text looks too funky and the boss man isnt happy. He doesn't understand why it doesn't come in crisp and clear like it did before. I've changed the font and size and its still pixelated.

Does it look bad when printed?

I believe it is just a memory saving feature, should print fine.

Doesn't look bad at all, its looks fine.

Now he wants to be able to fix the title blocks without going into Inventor. Is that possible?

Elaborate on fix title blocks.

There is a drawing resource transfer wizard that will transfer objects from one drawing to another or many others if you wish.  It will update/replace title blocks, symbols, borders, etc...

Do you want to create new title graphics and title block fields?

Dates, part numbers, title block info... etc...   these are all parametric, and dropping a part on a drawing will fill out many of them for you if it is properly set up.

So you may need to explain a bit further.

Hmmm.

Well, begin to really worry when he wants you to create a part without opening inventor.

HAHA  i know right!,

I took the job so I could leave the State of Washington for California. I've been here for about 3 months....but i'm always looking to do more. I love what I do and I love the programs. Although I will say I wish someone would combine all the positive stuff from Inventor and all the positive stuff from Solidworks and come up with one super program.

Just a thought. hehe..

Thank you for your input, There are somethings that not possible right now.

Did I mention my Supervisor whats "Tony Stark" Technology.

I swear i work with some interesting  characters.

Thanks again!

Cris
