Should this update be installed before or after the Factory Suite 2013 update?
Tried to install and got an error "No valid sequence could be found for the set of patches".
Tried this with SP1 uninstalled and also tried it with SP1 installed.
Any one have any ideas?
Windows 7 64bit
Inventor Pro 2013
Nevermind, found the thread:
Has anyone been having any issues after installing the Service Pack 1.1? I installed it yesterday thinking it would help my issues. Inventor still loves to crash when I am checking parts and drawings into Vault. It also seems to be crashing at more random times. If anything the service pack seemed to cause more issues than it fixed.
I was informed by the Communication Centre. Today I installed this patch. The first thing I noticed is that after installing and restarting my system the communication center still say there is an update available.
A bigge rproblem is that I'm not able to open files from Vault. Open from local workspace is possible, but when I choose "Browse to a file in the vault and open it" the browserscreen disappears.
I will unistall this patch because I can't work this way.

I cannot add just that hot fix. I get an error that reads "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform parths are valid." The way I understand it, this hotfix should have been installed with the service pack anyway.
Best regards,
David
I am using Autodesk Inventor 2013 along with Vault Professional 2013. I have Autodesk Inventor Service Pack 1 and service pack 1.1 installed. Inventor crashed 3 or 4 times since 7 this morning and each time I was given a link for this same hot fix. Do I need to install any updates for Vault itself?
David,
I will add to Avaya's question When I look at the vault hot fixes I do not see anything specifying if the hotfixes are for the vault server or the individual client (user) machines So far we have been installing them on user machines, Is this correct? Are there SPs or hotfixes for the Vault as well?
Thank you
Hi Jim,
I am consulting with the Vault team now to see if they have seen this issue before. The Vault Hotfixes are seperate from the Inventor Hotfixes and Service Pack. There is a Vault Service Pack coming soon. I believe that the majority of the Vault Hotfix should be installed on individual user machines, as you have been doing.
BTW: I did test the install on my machine earlier today and did not experience any issue during installation.
Best regards,
David
Hi,
Iam having a problem installing Vault 2013 Service pack 1 (Client)
I've installed it on a few computers successfully but get this error when tryiong to install on my computer.
We are running Vault 2013 Basic on 64-bit machines.
My specs are the same as one of the computers which have been upgraded succesfully. The only difference is that my computer is the VM server with ADMS on it, but that wouldn't be the issue would it? Vault Server SErvice Pack has installed successfully.
Cheers,
Emille
Hi Emile,
Please run the following to produce an installation log file and post it for analysis.
Msiexec.exe /p [path]\"Autodesk Vault 2013 Service Pack 1 (Client).msp" /L*v c:\2013SP1.log

Hi John,
Someone from the Vault team got back to me. Turns out it was an error in a Vault registry entry.
Always scared of just going into regedit on my own assumptions, but it was confirmed by the Vault Specialist and worked.
Cheers,
