Inventor 2013 LT does not open a coil spring created - crashes.

I create a very simple coil compression spring in Inventor 2013 LT SP1.

When i try to retrieve it later, the program hangs up and then I have to re-start.

The coil spring shows up in the preview window, but when i actually open the file, no spring!

The Browser window shows the spring and the creation steps...

Please help.

The strange thing is,some coil springs open fine...

others not at all! Very frustrating!!

In any CAD program the preview window is not a view of CAD geometry - it is a bitmap screen capture the software created during an earlier save.

The first file below does not open... the 2nd does.

Both are coil springs.

Both open fine on my machine.

I suspect a graphics card/driver issue.

What are your system specs?
