Inventor 2012 - API

I can hide an occurrence by setting its visible property and update the active view. This is working fine only for the direct occurrence for the active document. But i want to hide a part occurrence that comes under one of the sub assembly. How to accomplish this?

Hi!

You have to change the filter:The filter in assembly enviroment is defined by default as "Select Priority Component" and therefore, Now you are selecting all sub-assembly as one "occurrence".

Change the selection filter to " Select Part Priority": This way you can select any parts placed in a sub-assembly directely from the main assembly...

... so:

  1. Change the filter (is easy, check the image below)
  2. Selectthe part
  3. Uncheck visibility as a normal main assembly part.
