Inventor 2011 - Drawing Sheet Color Issue

I just installed Inventor 2011 64 Bit Edition Build 309, Release 2011 SP2 - Date: Thu 04/28/2011.

My computer is a Dell Precision R5400 Service Tag: 1YTQHL1, running Windows 7 64 bit Business Edition.

I'm having an issue with the sheet color changing to a mid grey color when I'm changing my options from "Use Document Settings" to "Use Application Settings". This can be found in the Inventor options on the "Display" Tab. I do not see a function or setting yet that will let me change the default sheet color. I'm sure it is just a display setting because when I print the sheet it is not grey it is white as it should be.

Is there a fix for this? Do I have a setting wrong? Maybe it is a video card issue. I run an Nvidia 290 NVS that come with the Dell. I attached a copy of my system info for your conveinence.

What are your settings on this tab when you click the settings button? Can you send an image? The sheet background color is typically set in the document settings>sheets tab of the template file or current drawing (depending if you want to change them globally or locally to the open document).

The NVS 290 is indeed not listed on the following site as certified for 2011 on a W7 64 bit machine:

Images of what you’re seeing and your settings would help though. Thank you.

I have attached a few of the screenshots from the settings that I currently have and have also added a screen shot of the application with a sheet shown so you can see the color difference. Thanks for your help! I had to zip up the files because i m limited to 3 attachments.

  1. Thank you for those images. If you de-select "Depth Dimming" on your settings, you should see the white sheet as expected. Please mark as a solution if this resolves this. Thank you.
