I am wondering how I can speed up the process for creating prints? It takes forever to get views to show up on the print portion of my software. I just installed a Quatro 2000 graphics card to my system. Is there any other suggestions?
If you have Vault, you can call up the drawings through the preview and print them out there, or save them as a pdf file for later printing.
Or call them up in design review or autoview to see if they callup any faster.
Plus, if you are any good at programing maybe you can write a routine that can do this all automatically.
View generation is dependent on the CPU speed. Most functions of Inventor only run on a single core of the CPU. The last couple of releases improvement was made in the IDW view generation. A new graphics card won't help generate the geometry for the view, only in panning the view.
