Initial View of part files in Inventor 2011

When opening a part file that was created in Inventor 2011, the initial view stays at the size of the "initial view extents" from the template.  The file does not open and view the entire part.  If I open a part file that was migrated from Inventor 2009, it will view the entire part.  Is there a setting I need to change that will fix this?

I read through the help files and it says that after a part is created in a part file that the file should use the extents of the created part to open to it's initial view.

I also read an earlier post that was similar to this but neither of the suggestions that were given worked.

      1. Open the template. Click the "orbit" command. Press the space bar. Now use the "Glass box" to set the Iso you want.  Right mouse click and choose "redefine Iso."

      2. Application Options/Sketch Tab, turn off "parallel view on sketch creation".

Thanks
