Importing STEP files

When I'm importing step file with my inventor 2014 makes lots of "part1", "part2", "part#" etc.

Inventor 2013 used names from step model. This was very useful when importing hundreds of parts.

Is there any way to get this naming done like it was Inventor2013?

Hi wisafin,

Thanks for your reporting!

Currently Inventor 2014 service pack 2 had been released, you can install it via link http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-in... and do a double check.

Workaround I though is: open the STEP in Inventor 2013,  turn on option "save part during load", then open the save *.iam in Inventor 2014.

If possible can you simplify the STEP model and share it here ? or send it to me via email Hongyuan.Li@autodesk.com , I will investigate it further.
