Imported .igs files is not visible on .idw

Hi,

I have imported an .igs and would like to use it on my assembly.

Step that I created.

1. DL an igs files, then open it in Inventor 2012 Product Suite.

2. Save as .ipt,

3. Create a new .ipt and then DERIVED the save .ipt, change scale to 25.4

4. Save the part

5. Open .idw and place the part you just save.

Result: Notice that nothing is visible. WHY?

I have attached the said file.

Thanks & Regards,

Willie

the iges is being imported as a surface, not a solid.  (well, technically it's coming in as 4 small solid disks, near the feet, and 1 surface) and surfaces aren't visible in idws by default.

Either you need to repair the surface and turn it into a solid or leave it as a surface and enable the surface-visibility in the idw (expand the part and "surface bodies," then right-click and select "visible" - as my attached image):
