IV 2013 and Vault crashing after IV 2014 uninstall

I have IV 2013 and Vault Workgroup 2013. Everything was working fine for last year without any problem. Last week I did upgrade to IV 2014. Unfortunately Autodesk decided eliminate Vault Workgroup 2014. And my problems started.

Now if I try to open file from Vault, Inventor and Vault crashes. I did uninstall IV 2014, same problem. Reinstalled IV 2013 and V2013 and I still have problem of crashing. Tried clean uninstall, no difference. Very frustrating.

They eliminated Vault Workgroups for 2014?

That's news to me.

So what did they replace it with? If you had seats of Vault Workgroups 2013 and were on subscription, you would have been upgraded/updated to the replacement if that was the case.

Now, all that aside it looks like you are wanting to roll back from all things 2014 and go back to using 2013, correct?

You will need to uninstall everything Autodesk related and then I'd highly recommend using CCleaner (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) to clear out anything left hanging around. Once that's done, use the registry cleaner app and reboot. At this point you can re-install 2013 fresh and not see these issues anymore.

I know, it seems like a pain, but it's what I know that works everytime.

But I'm more concerned about your claim that they just dropped Workgroups for 2014 and didn't offer a replacement.

Can you provide info?

OK, not sure where in the world you got the info that Autodesk dropped Vault Workgroups for 2014, it's flat out incorrect.

That is good. Problem is I 2014 is not working with V2013 and uninstalling
2014 does not help.

Warning not to use I 2014 till V 2014 is released would help.

If you checked Autodesk website two weeks ago, you would see there was not
mentioning of Vault Workgroup.

It was added only last week. And it does not help with my problem.

Thanks for the link you suggested. I do have subscription and we paid for
both upgrades. According to Autodesk website and retailer

from two weeks ago, Autodesk plan was to cut Vault to only two versions,
Basic and Professional. Now they added Workgroup back.

My bad, I assumed I 2014 will be back compatible with Vault Workgroup 2013.
Little warning with I 2014 would go long way.
