Hyper-threading and Inventor

Does Inventor take advantage of hyperthreading? I just upgraded the CPU and MoBo to Pentium 4 but Win2000 doesn't support hyperthreading. Wondering if it's worth going to WinXP.

I don't know anything about this for certain but I would guess that modeling doesn't take advantage of hyperthreading. Perhaps drawing does that is a possibility.

From my experience you actually get a major
performance hit when hyper threading is used. It's an easy bios setting so give
it a try both ways.

Correct! HT can make things slower.

Albert,
I don't notice any difference in modeling but the drawings do seem a bit
quicker with hyperthreading turned on. Maybe I should do some more testing?
This is an interesting topic and look forward to everyone's response.
