How do you move txt?

Is there a way to move groups of txt with the move command?
If i use this command I can not select any txt. I've tried boxing it and ctrl and shift clicking but this doesnt work.
Am I doing anything wrong?

You need to select all the text with CTRL or Shift
and then move.

I've tried that but it doesnt work.
Is it a bug? I'm using version 6 software.
If I select the txt first and then use the move command, the move command dialogue box asks me to select what I want to move. It does not register txt that was selected before the command was activated

Just drag it to where you want to
go.

Thats pretty useless, as the move command also serves as a copy command. The reason I'm using this is for a copy.

RMB copy.  RMB paste.  Now before you
loose the selection drag.
