we are upgrading the system hardware to install the Inventor suit 2012
Till now we have been using the window xp 4gbRam, Xeon processor pCS.
We are in manufacturing . Our Assemblies are 1000+ parts
Here is the new configuration.
Intel Xeon W3690 3.46 Ghz 12MB/1333, 6core CPU
Windows 7 Professional 64bit
16 GB DDR3-1333 ECCC Ram
Nvidia Quadro 20000 1 GB Grahics
160GB solid state drive 1st
250 GB SATA 7200 RPM second HDD
16x DVD RW ROM
We are a small company so we are on a budget. Please avise

Looks pretty good to me (except you can save just a bit on the graphics card..quadro really isn't needed..just get a 1G Nvidia gaming card like a GTX 560Ti or 570). Load Inventor and Windows on the SSD and anything else on the slower HD. If you are using Vault and have a local workspace put that on the SSD too.
