Ghost reference in a part

Attached is a 2014 model part that keeps telling me it can't find a referenced assembly "3D_G_NSD0_91796V.iam" when I open it in Design Assistant. I searched the server and I've never had this assembly on my system, so I can't give it what it wants.

I've attempted to purge the file then reopen in Design Assistant, but it still insists it needs this assembly in order to go further in Design Assistant.

Why does it want this file, and more importantly, how do I get it to stop wanting the ghost reference?

Nevermind, I just figured it out - it was a SUPPRESSED link to an unavailable assembly. I simply BROKE the link and it was fine.

Looks like Design Assistant needs to be able to see referenced items that are SUPPRESSED, but oh what a cryptic message. I spent 20 minutes trying to find the offending part in an assembly of over 400 components.
