I am considering a a few (used) low end cards for home use ( I currently
have a Riva TNT that is only partially compatible at best).

I can choose from a used 3D Labs Oxygen GVX1 or a Nvidia Quadro 2 EX.

If the GVX is ranked "1" on a scale of 1 to 10, how would the Quadro 2
rank??? Or what other advice could anyone lend?

I don't know anything about the Quadro 2, but I use GVX1 on my home machine
(bought used on Ebay). It's not the fastest card, but it seems to be pretty
stable.
