There are MANY CAM software packages that integrate with Inventor. Check here (search under NC manufacturing)

As the market for technical software becomes narrower, the price increases. The costs of development must be bore by a very select market. The O/S and software for a smart phone can be amortized over a considerably greater number of units than specialized software.
Don't expect to find a $1.99 app to drive a $300,000 NC machine

Hopefully (and soon) HSM will offer/integrate the "free" Xpress version for Inventor users..
It looks really simple yet really functional/powerful.
*.ipt => G code for CNC => Part => Money => Subscription => *.ipt=> G code....
Wait 2114 or Beta for 2014 users with subscription?
We want built-in CAM.
This really would be a killer app for us. We use Edgecam at the moment which is a powerful, but difficult to use program. It's really very old fashioned in its user-interface and intuitivenss of use, and is clunky.
CAM directly within Inventor would be awesome.
There would have to be a machine specific post-processor in there somehwere.
Of course. A decent Post authoring program would be part of any decent CAM package.
