Plugging away yesterday working with a large truss frame - about to release a revision to the client - when all of a sudden the frame ie Frame0001:1 goes missing!
I did not delete it.
This cost me hours rebuilding it - right at a critical moment.
Anyone had this occur? Is it a glitch in Inventor 2014? Is there a way I can recover it if it happens again?
Any help much appreciated.
Frames, or files of any kind for that matter, don't just up and disappear. They require some sort of user input to make them go away.... trust me, I found that fact out the hard way several years ago.
I think we need more information about your workflow to help you figure out what happened. I suspect your frame is in there somewhere... but without more info that's just a guess.

Have you tried to retrieve the "old" version (or one of the "old" versions depending on your configuration) of your frame assembly created automatically in the "OldVersions" directory ? Does that "old" version also contain the problem ?
I hope that will help you.
