Frame Analysis Simplification - Advanced (theory) doubt

Hi to all,

i have question to you. Thanks in adavance for support and helping.

I have a frame assembly like this (frame generator origined):

111111.jpg

The 4 external beam actually are connected  between them with 8 square plates

So my question, to simulate  these connectios is better to leave the beams as they are and insert rigid links in the plate places or proced in another way like the next?

Second solution:

i have simplify the frame (where there are double beam there is now one beam.

Like this:

The idea is this, change the lateral beams properties to simulate the double resistance of the double beam where actually there are only one for side.

Can it works as idea?  Which beam properties do you suggest to change in the Beam Properties Windows, is it enought to double it?

Thank you so much for helping me in this!

Pompeo
