Filter does not apply correctly in "File-Open" dialog

Sometimes (not always), in the File>Open dialog, If I chose file types .iam,
I am shown a list of both .ipt and .iam files. It is like windows doesn't
recognize the filter. I can then click to show only the .idw or the.ipt
files and it will list only the .idw or .ipt files. Its like it starts
working correctly after I change the filter.

I attached here a screen shot of a list that shows only the ipt and the iam
files. There is not even a filter to shows only .ipt and .iam files (wish
there was). The filter that I had selected was the .iam files only. There
are .ipt, .idw, .iam, .idw, .dwg and .sat file in this directory.

Is it just me or do other people have this problem also?

No real big deal, just kind of annoying having to reapply the filter and
having to wait again for the files to show up.
