FLANGE CREATION FAILED

I am creating a bracket (with one side tapered)96" LG. One end is 17" tall and the other end is approx. 21" tall. Both sides will have 2" flange.

IV6 SP1 failed to create the flange on the tapered side and this is the message I got:

[WARNING] SMP END PC.ipt: Errors occurred during update
[ERROR] Modeling failure while creating edges resulting from face-face intersection.
[ERROR] Feature Compute failed.

[ERROR] Sheet Metal: Flange Creation failed.

Can someone tell me why this is happening?

Opened fine here without anly errors and with 2-2"
flanges, one at 90 and one at 90.5 degrees.

The 90.5 deg. should be 90 deg., but iv6 doesn't like it.

In your Styles dialog, try changing BendRadius to "0.063 in" ,
instead of "1 in / 16 ul".

Sorry, didn't try 90 degrees.  Yea I read
Mikes post and I'm not sure of the reason either...yet.

I'm not sure why. I experienced the same problem in a
different situation earlier today (in 5.3). That's the solution that worked for
me, so I figured it might work on yours too.
