Export Work Points to a Table in an IDW

I have a IPT with a complex surface geometry and non-normal holes relative to a Datum Reference Frame. I need a way of communicating this information on a drawing without creating three section views for each hole. I would like to place work points in my model on the axis of the holes and have them be exported to a table on the drawing. Is there a way that Work Points can be exported to a table on the IDW?

Thanks,
Chad S.

Did you ever get anywhere with this idea?? I would like to get a txt file, or .xls file of all of the points in a .iam or a .ipt, and would like to know if it is possible. Edited by: D.sondreal on Oct 28, 2009 6:44 PM

I have an "Inventor Tools" addin available for trial
on Mcad forums that has an option to export selected
workpoints in an assembly or part to an excel spreadsheet.
It is written in VB6 so it currently only works on 32bit
systems.
