Exit Sketch without Changes

I have a question regarding sketches that I really hope can be answered.

A sketch is edited but I would like to discard all my changes and start the edit process over again. Is there a way to exit sketch and discard changes? I know that undo works (use it like a pro now) but it can only go back so far. At this point I am left with finishing sketch, closing part without saving. Close any assembly and/or drawing that has said part in it without saving part. Then reopen. Is there a better way?

Thanks,
- Jonathan

Save before Edit. Then Undo back to the Save, or exit without saving.

Not the answer you want, but:
If you haven't already, go to App Options, General tab and change undo file
size to 1000 MB (max allowed)

Another option, depending on what your Old Versions To Keep On Save value is
set to, you might be able to open your file from the Old Versions folder.

I personally would love to see this added to IV. I have used other 3D software that had this option. There could be 2 separate commands within the sketch environment. The one is already there, “Finish Sketch”, simply updates and accepts the changes to the sketch and brings you back to the modeling environment. The other one should be “Exit Sketch”, which would not save any changes to the sketch nor update anything else. It’s like a group “undo” to the moment before you edited the sketch. “Undo” command is fine, but sometimes a pain.

It would be nice if AutoDesk would add this to the next version of IV……"HINT, HINT, HINT".

Doesn't SW have such a "cancel sketch" action ?

Autodesk: think of this for future version please.

this is peer support, not the location you would post where you want to
actually talk to Adesk.

Hi.  If you take a look at the Comments section for THIS Idea, you can see in the last comment that something like this is now being tested in the Feedback (Beta) Community.
