When the dwg doesn't work, option dxf doesn't work also. I use dwg because i draw on Autocad. But also works dwg.

DWG is the native format of AutoCAD / Inventor, DXF is more used to transfer the drawing to other programs, such as 3dstudio, coreldraw, etc. The problem when you import a DXF generated by these programs is that it loses information such as layers, blocks etc.

Make sure when you are saving your Inventor drawings, you are using the correct DWG format. There are two DWG options, Inventor DWG and AutoCAD DWG. Make sure that you are using the AutoCAD DWG option from the drop-down list when saving.

Inventor 2020, In-Cad, Simulation Mechanical

Three time, my solution was at command line, run "c:\program files\autodesk\Inventor 2013\bin\inventor" /install.
