When using Emboss for Numbers i can get the face of the number to have different colors but how do i get the sides of the numbers to also color.I can only get the face of the number to be colored and the side remain grey

What kind of selection filter are you using? Shift\Right click on an empty part of the screen. If you are in Feature Priority, you should be able to select the emboss either right on the part, or from the model tree, and assign a color to the entire thing from there. You could also select each face of the emboss one at a time, and set the color that way.
